Mironne Golan - President
Tanya Bortz - Vice President
Tanya has been a member of North Shore Synagogue for the past 15 years, after moving to the North Shore with her husband Clive in 2009, just before the birth of their eldest son. Together they have two school age children – Kai and Kobi. Tanya grew up in Manchester, England and has been living in Sydney since 2001.
Tanya is an experienced project management and business analysis consultant, bringing a wealth of corporate experience from working in various investment banks, as well as a thorough understanding of the workings of the not-for-profit sector, where she now focuses her business.
​Jeremy Levy - Vice President
Jeremy Levy is Vice President of North Shore Synagogue and has been on the Board since 2022.
Jeremy is also a director of NSWJBD in June 2023, having been involved on the Community Relations Committee since 2019. Jeremy and his wife Natalie live in Killara and enjoy being active members of the North Shore Synagogue.
As a 6th generation New Zealander, Jeremy grew up very involved in the Auckland Jewish Community as a madrich with Habonim (attended Shnat/Machon in 1990) and then as an inaugural member of NZ CSG and head of NZ CSG for 5 years. He lived in Israel for 8 years and has been in Sydney since January 2008, where he has had periods on the Boards of Maroubra Synagogue and Masada College and has been the honorary solicitor for Maroubra Synagogue since 2011.
Professionally, he works as the CEO of CyBiz Pty Ltd, a cybersecurity services consulting company, and is also a corporate partner in Agmon with Tulchinsky, a top tier Israeli law firm with offices in Sydney. He is also a director of a number of companies.
Peter Vickers - Treasurer
Peter and Leonie moved to Roseville in 1980 when they joined The North Shore Synagogue. Peter served on the board of Masada College for 10 years where their 3 daughters attended from preschool. Peter also served as Treasurer for 3 years of Masada College.
Peter is a Chartered Accountant and also owns a financial planning firm and life and general insurance brokerage. His office is at the end of the long driveway from the shul. Peter has served many years on the board as Treasurer and President and his 8 grandchildren know all the secret hiding places around the shul premises.
Stanley Dyne
Stanley came from Johannesburg in 1974 and has been a member of The North Shore Synagogue for over 50 years. Stanley and Marlen settled in Roseville and have been active members of the North Shore Community and were involved with Masada College in the early days.
Stanley is a Chemical Engineer and initially worked with Lend Lease Corporation as a Project Engineer for 6 years and then got involved in a dental supply company, eventually starting his own company in the Willoughby area over 35 years ago. In that time dentistry has changed dramatically from a cottage industry to a high-tech digital industry involving direct scanning, milling and 3d printing.
Stanley is mainly involved with the Maintenance of the Shul buildings which is some case are over 70 years old, as well as keeping the gardens neat and tidy to show the best of our North Shore Garden Synagogue.
Robert Samuel
Robert joined the Board after more than a decade advising for-impact and faith based organisations on responding to changes in markets, community expectations, regulation and technology.
I have participated in the life and work of North Shore Synagogue since childhood. I am enjoying working with the people of the North Shore, our Community, Board and leaders of the Congregation as we reimagine a home for a welcoming and meaningful Jewish life in and around the North Shore of Sydney.
