Board of Management
Mironne Golan - President
Ken Wolfsohn - Vice President
Stanley Dyne - Vice President
Peter Vickers - Treasurer
We joined the shul in 1980 when we moved to Roseville. Leonie and I have 3 daughters and 8 grandchildren and when the whole family attends shul the noise level goes up.
I joined the board as Treasurer about 12 years ago and also served 2 years as president. My accounting practice is at the end of the shul exit drive and my shul attendance is broken when I go skiing both in Australia and oversea. My sculptures of Rabbi Aviv and the giant matzah have appeared occasionally at shul on Pesach.
I retired a few years ago after a career in engineering and IT. I have been assisting the Synagogue office staff with their information systems for a number of years and am active with the Connections program. I am a volunteer with Jewish Care and also enjoy assisting the elderly in the wider community with their use of computers through the Computer Pals for Seniors organisation. My wife Melanie and I are fortunate to have 3 young grandchildren with whom we love to spend whatever time they can spare us.
I joined the Board after more than a decade advising for-impact and faith based organisations on responding to changes in markets, community expectations, regulation and technology. I have participated in the life and work of North Shore Synagogue since childhood. I am enjoying working with the people of the North Shore, our Community, Board and leaders of the Congregation as we reimagine a home for a welcoming and meaningful Jewish life in and around the North Shore of Sydney.
Tanya has been a member of North Shore Synagogue for the past 15 years, after moving to the North Shore with her husband Clive in 2009, just before the birth of their eldest son. Together they have two school age children – Kai and Kobi. Tanya grew up in Manchester, England and has been living in Sydney since 2001. Tanya is an experienced project management and business analysis consultant, bringing a wealth of corporate experience from working in various investment banks, as well as a thorough understanding of the workings of the not-for-profit sector, where she now focuses her business.
Dan Elias is the father of three young adults, an amateur cocktail bartender and works as a Data Scientist.
Dan moved to Sydney with his family and joined our shul 9 years ago after living in London, Toronto, Singapore, Melbourne and Brisbane.
