Returning to Shul Safely

7th October, 2021

With 70% vaccination rates reached, we are delighted to announce that services will resume next week at the North Shore Synagogue. Our first service will be Thursday morning Shacharit, 14 October at 6:40am. The first Shabbat will be the weekend of the 15th and 16th of October.

The following restrictions will be in place for your safety:

  • Only those people aged 16 years and over, who are fully vaccinated and those with medical exemptions will be able to attend until further advised.  Children under the age of 16 years old who are not fully vaccinated are allowed to attend shul when accompanied by a fully vaccinated member of their household.

  • Masks must be worn inside and outside

  • Social distancing - 4 metre rule applies

  • No singing permitted

All people attending NSS will be required to either:

  1. provide evidence of your COVID Certificate from the Federal Government via email as indicated below or

  2. provide evidence of a negative COVID test result in the 48 hours prior to attending shul (for those with medical exemption. For more information, click here). 

Proof of vaccination and negative test results are required to be submitted to the shul office (email: no later than Friday 12pm for Shabbat attendance.

We anticipate restrictions will lessen with increasing vaccination rates and will keep you posted as changes are announced.
