The Voice Referendum – Voting Information
Australians will have the opportunity to cast their vote in the upcoming Voice to Parliament referendum to be held on Saturday 14 October.
On this day the polling booths will be open from 8am to 6pm. There will be around 40 polling booths in Bradfield. It is of course not appropriate for observant Jews to vote in person on the day of the referendum.
There will also be prepoll locations, which will be open from 8.30am to 5.30pm (hours may differ slightly), Monday to Saturday, for two weeks prior to polling day.
There are three prepoll locations in Bradfield. They are:
· 2nd Gordon Scout Hall, 32C Rosedale Road, Gordon
· Shop 5, 169-177 Mona Vale Road, St Ives
· Northside Church, 217 Bobbin Head Road, North Turramurra
Information on the locations of polling booths on polling day can be found online using this link: https://www.aec.gov.au/referendums/voting.htm#start
If voting on the day or at prepoll is not convenient, you can apply for a postal vote. You can find out how to do this here: https://www.aec.gov.au/referendums/
Voting in a referendum is compulsory.
